Description
The tumour, greyish-red in colour and circumscribed, occupies much of the breast tissue in the
plane of the specimen. The tumour is extending upwards into the nipple, as shown on the reverse
side of the specimen. The defect at the apex of the specimen may represent a biopsy area, although
there is little in the way of surrounding haemorrhage to support this.
